Azerbaijan, the nation and former Soviet republic, is bounded by the Caspian Sea and Caucasus Mountains, which span Asia and Europe. Its capital, Baku, is famed for its medieval walled Inner City. Within the Inner City lies the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a royal retreat dating to the 15th century, and the centuries-old stone Maiden Tower, which dominates the city skyline.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL - BAKU AIRPORT

Evening walk on the National Boulevard of Baku, where you can walk and ride on a gondola through the Little Venice. Next trip will be to the New Boulevard: Baku Eye, Mugam Centre, Carpet Museum, and you can enjoy a funicular ride to the Upper Hill Park where you’ll have the spectacular view of Baku.
After that, you’ll be invited to the restaurant «Riviera» or “Panoramic” with stunning views of the Caspian Sea, near the State Flag Square, next to the famous Crystal Hall, where Eurovision was held in 2012.

DAY 2 - TRIP TO GOBUSTAN

Tour to Gobustan. Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art. The site also features the remains of inhabited caves, settlements and burials, all reflecting an intensive human use by the inhabitants of the area during the wet period that followed the last Ice Age, from the Upper Paleolithic to the Middle Ages.

Discover top attractions of Baku Old Town. Get acquainted with the main and unique monuments of Baku, namely with the Maiden Tower, the Palace of Shirvanshahs, the courtyard known as “Divankhana”, mosques and minarets, caravanserais and bathes. Old Baku has lots of treasures that you will never forget for years. Explore the rich history of oriental side of Baku.
Tourists will also be able to enjoy the streets where famous Soviet movies as The Diamond Arm, Amphibian Man , Tehran-43, Do not be afraid, I am with you and so on have been shot.
Visit the Museum of miniature books, which preserves more than 6,000 exhibits.
A walk along the famous Nizamiavenue and the Fountain Square.
In addition, you will be able to see the Azerbaijan National Philharmonic Hall, Heydar Aliyev Center and the Alley of Martyrs.
Excursion to the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan. The building was built in 1891 and was the home of one of the oil millionaires – Z.Tagiev.

DAY 3 - TOUR TO GABALA

It is the beautiful part of Azerbaijan with a rich and ancient history. Sometime in the past this city (Kabbalah) was the capital of Caucasian Albania for 600 years. Up to this present time there are the ruins of the ancient city and the main gate of Caucasian Albania. There is a great number of historical and cultural monuments of different eras in this region.
Ongoing excavations near the village Chukhur confirm that Gabala from IV – III centuries BC and up to the XVIII century was one of the major cities with developed trade and crafts.
The abundance of attractions, beautiful nature and well developed infrastructure attract thousands of tourists. Three 5 star complexes Gafgaz for accommodation of up to 1000 guests were opened near the city. There are also a small family hotels, several tourist camps and recreation areas where you can comfortably relax in the open air.
Some of the local beauty: the so called Russian forest, river valleys, the famous chestnut forest, numerous picturesque villages Vyandam, Gyamarvan, Engidzha, mountainous village of Laza where since not long time ago tourists can get even riding a quad bike provided by hotel Gafgaz.
In Gabala at the area of 16 hectares is located the largest amusement park under the open sky in Azerbaijan – Gabaland. Visitors are provided with family, kids and extreme kinds of attractions, ice arena, carting, sports fields, XD theatre, convenient parking, great food in restaurants and cafes.

DAY 4 - TRIP TO SHEKI (ANCIENT NUH)

Trip to Sheki (Ancient nuh) – 300 km from Baku, one of the most ancient cities of Azerbaijan, Sheki is rightly called the architectural reserve of the country. Of particular interest to the tourists from all over the world is the Palace of Sheki Khans (1762) – a rare example of combining the national and palace architecture traditions. It is remarkable that during the construction of the palace, not a single nail was used, and the colored glass for shebeke (national mosaic) was brought from Venice.Time for lunch.

DAY 6 - TRIP TO GUBA
in the shady woods, Tengealtin gorge, where the turbulent river Velvelichai runs, the famous Afurdzhin waterfall which is included into the list of “Monuments of Azerbaijan Nature”.
Many architectural monuments are preserved in the vicinity of the city: the Juma mosque, the mausoleum of the XVI century, Sakina – Khanum mosque, ancient baths. The city has a historical museum, museum – house of educator, writer and public figure of the XX century A. Bakikhanov.
The famous village Krasnaya Sloboda which is a home to one of the larges communities of Mountain Jews in the world is also located in Guba. The inhabitants of this village are engaged mainly in trade. You can see pompous, blinding by their beauty villas erected all across the village.
The Guba Genocide Memorial Complex is a museum in Quba, Azerbaijan, which was built between 2009 and 2013. It is dedicated to the memory of victims of March Days and is now a museum and tourist destination under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
