AZERBAIJAN INTRO
Azerbaijan, the nation and former Soviet republic, is bounded by the Caspian Sea and Caucasus Mountains, which span Asia and Europe. Its capital, Baku, is famed for its medieval walled Inner City. Within the Inner City lies the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a royal retreat dating to the 15th century, and the centuries-old stone Maiden Tower, which dominates the city skyline.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL - BAKU AIRPORT

Evening walk on the National Boulevard of Baku, where you can walk and ride on a gondola through the Little Venice. Next trip will be to the New Boulevard: Baku Eye, Mugam Centre, Carpet Museum, and you can enjoy a funicular ride to the Upper Hill Park where you’ll have the spectacular view of Baku.
After that, you’ll be invited to the restaurant «Riviera» or “Panoramic” with stunning views of the Caspian Sea, near the State Flag Square, next to the famous Crystal Hall, where Eurovision was held in 2012.

DAY 2 - TRIP TO SHEKI (ANCIENT NUH)

Trip to Sheki (Ancient nuh) – 300 km from Baku, one of the most ancient cities of Azerbaijan, Sheki is rightly called the architectural reserve of the country. Of particular interest to the tourists from all over the world is the Palace of Sheki Khans (1762) – a rare example of combining the national and palace architecture traditions. It is remarkable that during the construction of the palace, not a single nail was used, and the colored glass for shebeke (national mosaic) was brought from Venice.Time for lunch.

DAY 3 - TOUR TO GANJA
Breakfast in the hotel.Trip to Ganja (370 km from Baku).
Gandja is the second largest city in the country, a monument of the ancient culture, the industrial center of western Azerbaijan. City with a history that goes back to 494 BC (in 2013 Gandja celebrates 2507 anniversary) is of great interest for tourists. This area has a rich natural, cultural and historical heritage.
There are a lot of forests, vineyards, lakes, rivers and mountains. The area is famous for many mineral springs and unique medicinal oil – naphthalan. This natural substance is used as the most effective drug for the treatment of dermatological, rheumatic and neurological diseases.

City sightseeing tour. Visit to the mosque of Shah Abbas, medieval caravansaray, museum of miniature, “Bottle house”, mausoleum of the Great Azerbaijani poetry NizamiGyanjavi.
There is a local fad – Bottle House, a two-storey building constructed of approximately 50,000 bottles. It was built by Ibrahim Jafarov in 1966 in honor of his brother missing in the Great Patriotic War.
Gandja has many parks and picturesque alleys comfortable for walking in the summer day, the largest and most beautiful of which is “Khan Baghi” (“Khan’s garden”), named so in the reign of Javad Khan (1748-1803).
DAY 4 - KHANLAR - GOYGOL NATIONAL PARK

The centre of the district formerly was called Elenendorf. It was founded by German colonists in August 22, 1819 at the place of an ancient village Hanlyglar that later formed a base of Hanlar city. Now Goygol district illustrates the friendship between Azerbaijan and German nations. A lot of work was done here to preserve the German heritage.
The main attraction of Goygol district is the reserve of the same name founded in 1925, the first in Azerbaijan, by the way. Its total area is 7131 hectares. When the reserve was created the main goal was to preserve and in some areas to restore the mountain forest, mountain-meadow and mountain lake natural complexes. The entire territory of the Goygol reserve is devided by very deep valleys where run beautiful, though not very big but turbulent rivers.
In the reserve you can enjoy wonderful lakes (about ten in there: Maralgol, Garagol, Zeligel, Aggol, Shamilgol etc.) the most famous of which is formed by an earthquake in 1139 the Goygol lake.
DAY 5 - GANJA - GABALA

Gabala Tour – Trip to the waterfall the Seven Beauties or to the waterfall or Pharell, located in Oguz.
Next stop will be to the lake Nohur – another pearl of this place. The lake is famous for its cleanliness, abundance of fish and an amazing turquoise color of the water.
Then tourists will enjoy the Gabala view on a cable car ride at Tufandag Hotel and have a chance to spend fun time at Gabaland Theme Park and Gabala Shooting Club.

DAY 6 - GABALA - BAKU - SHAMAKHA
Natural conditions of Shemakha lands attracted people since ancient times. The unique nature, mild climate and mineral springs provide this district with special beauty. The climate here is temperate. Oak, beech and hornbeam forests in the highlands, green fields and bushes, caressing eyes green meadows give these places unforgettable beauty. More than 50 species of medical herbs grow here. The rich nature in forests provides with favorable conditions for birds and animals living there, for example deer, boars, bears, wild cats.
This area attracts a lot of tourists and vacationers all the year round.
Shemakha district is interesting not only for its rich nature but for an ancient history as well. Despite the numerous earthquakes in Shemakha there are many historical monuments still preserved: the Juma mosque with two minarets (743rd year), the mausoleum Shahihandan (XV century), the tomb of Shirvan Khans – mausoleum YeddiGumbez (Seven Domes) (XVIII-XIX centuries), the mausoleum “Diri-Baba” built in 1402, the ruins of the Gulistan citadel (XI-XIII centuries).
