BAKU INTRO
Baku, the capital and commercial hub of Azerbaijan, is a low-lying city with coastline along the Caspian Sea. It’s famed for its medieval walled old city, which contains the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a vast royal complex, and the iconic stone Maiden Tower. Contemporary landmarks include the Zaha Hadid–designed Heydar Aliyev Center, and the Flame Towers, 3 pointed skyscrapers covered with LED screens.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL - BAKU AIRPORT

Evening walk on the National Boulevard of Baku, where you can walk and ride on a gondola through the Little Venice. Next trip will be to the New Boulevard: Baku Eye, Mugam Centre, Carpet Museum, and you can enjoy a funicular ride to the Upper Hill Park where you’ll have the spectacular view of Baku.
After that, you’ll be invited to the restaurant «Riviera» or “Panoramic” with stunning views of the Caspian Sea, near the State Flag Square, next to the famous Crystal Hall, where Eurovision was held in 2012.

DAY 2 - TOUR TO GOBUSTAN

Tour to Gobustan. Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art. The site also features the remains of inhabited caves, settlements and burials, all reflecting an intensive human use by the inhabitants of the area during the wet period that followed the last Ice Age, from the Upper Paleolithic to the Middle Ages.
Return to Baku. Lunch time.
Discover top attractions of Baku Old Town. Get acquainted with the main and unique monuments of Baku, namely with the Maiden Tower, the Palace of Shirvanshahs, the courtyard known as “Divankhana”, mosques and minarets, caravanserais and bathes. Old Baku has lots of treasures that you will never forget for years. Explore the rich history of oriental side of Baku.
Tourists will also be able to enjoy the streets where famous Soviet movies as The Diamond Arm, Amphibian Man , Tehran-43, Do not be afraid, I am with you and so on have been shot.
Visit the Museum of miniature books, which preserves more than 6,000 exhibits.
A walk along the famous Nizamiavenue and the Fountain Square.
In addition, you will be able to see the Azerbaijan National Philharmonic Hall, Heydar Aliyev Center and the Alley of Martyrs.
Excursion to the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan. The building was built in 1891 and was the home of one of the oil millionaires – Z.Tagiev.

DAY 3 - TOUR TO ABSHERON

Excursion to “Yanardag”. In the 13th century, when Marco Polo visited Baku, he mentioned numerous mysterious flames that could be found all over the region at various places of the Abşeron Peninsula. Of the natural fires that burn today in Azerbaijan, YanarDağ is arguably the most impressive.
Excursion to Ateshgah, ancient temple of fire-worshipers (XVII century)

Excursion to Qala Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex. The Qala Fortress related to the 10-14th centuries includes a tower and a stronghold. Used for surveillance and defence, the tower related to the 10-14th century is 13.8 meters tall. Golden coins, remnants of a golden bracelet and ceramic samples related to the 10-16th centuries are displayed in a stronghold related to the 16-17th centuries.
Excursion to the ancient fortress of Mardakan (XII century).
